Disability Action Wellbeing Hub Wellbeing Hub Feedback Feedback on Our Wellbeing Hub At our Wellbeing Hub, we prioritise creating a safe and supportive space for individuals to address their needs and develop tools for positive change. Here's what some of our clients have to say about their experiences: Therapist's Skill and Support: "Therapist was extremely capable at creating space to address needs and creating space for the development of tools for change. How do you feel your overall experience of counselling has been? Excellent- I accessed the service at a time of grief and challenging employment circumstances- I have no doubt that access to the therapist ensured that I remained well and had tools to address anxiety, insomnia, and visual nightmares. The ability to extend was vital- my situation was cyclical with significant triggers emerging each time that the therapist relationship was to come to an end- that flexibility has meant that sessions have ended when I was ready- I have noticed a significant reduction in anxiety, stress, and social anxiety." Client Testimonial - Positive Impact: "Moring Maria, I wanted to give you some positive feedback from one of our Service Users (JD) who availed of your counselling service with Julie. JD said he was very appreciative of the service and praised Julie for her kind, caring approach with him. He said he felt he benefitted a lot from the sessions and would highly recommend it for other service users. So, thank you on behalf of JD and AI FSS." Different Approach, Significant Impact: "I can honestly say I would be in a very much worse state if it wasn’t for the counselling support provided. The methods employed by Maria are very much different than the NHS model. I have been in and out of the NHS Mental Health system over the last 10 years with the service paying nothing more than lip service to my needs. The model of providing medication as a solution to my Depression and Anxiety issues has not worked and providing six one-hour sessions of CBT or one to one counselling has not provided a long-term solution. I have trust issues and need to feel that the person I am working with has my best interests at heart." Life-Saving Support: "My counselling session has been a life-saving experience. I am coping with a husband who, in his state of dementia, has gone through several stages of the disease in the past few months. His state of mind is extremely taxing on my own state of mind and human endurance. The help received in my coping and living with an aggressive and verbally abusive husband has been invaluable. With her guidance, I have been able to relearn how to value and take care of myself before helping those around me. For this service, I am extremely grateful." Empowering Experience: "It was a great experience, and during sessions with Karen, I could validate my feelings and get better. I started tablet treatment for low mood in May, and then started sessions with Karen in June and it helped immensely to get better. I am grateful I could avail of Karen’s service. Thank you, Disability Action, for offering this service to me. It was extremely helpful and helped me to get better and keep going with my employment and busy family life. I was able to explore long-standing feelings which I had never felt safe to express…this was cathartic. Maria, you make so many people feel comfortable and brave enough to speak about difficult subjects."
